Volunteer with the Heritage Fruit Tree Project – January 1, 2025
The Heritage Fruit Tree Project has been dedicated to preserving Modoc County’s historic fruit trees for years, but we need your help to continue this important work. Our project focuses on surveying and cataloging these valuable trees, conducting community outreach, and documenting our efforts through photography and educational events. Additionally, we are actively working on grant writing and event planning to expand the reach and impact of this initiative.
We invite community members to join us in this vital effort. Whether you have experience in agriculture, photography, event coordination, or simply want to learn more about our region’s agricultural heritage, there’s an opportunity to get involved. Your participation will help us preserve these unique fruit trees and promote sustainable practices that benefit both current and future generations.
By becoming part of the Heritage Fruit Tree Project, you’ll contribute to the conservation of Modoc County’s rich agricultural history and help create a stronger, more resilient local food system.
