Alturas Community Garden

The Alturas Community Garden opened for its first season in 2019.  Since then it has continued to grow and the Garden now has 35 raised bed garden boxes available for individuals and families to use on a first-come, first serve basis.  Additionally, the Garden hosts a working greenhouse where hundreds of plants are started annually, large children’s beds, a pollinator garden, an herb garden and, new this year, fence-line planter boxes that will hold climbing vines and decorative flowers to brighten the Garden.  The Alturas Community Garden is open to all interested community members and seeds, starts, soil, water and (through the Garden Manager) expertise on combatting plant pests, diseases and other challenges.  The Community Garden partners with Faith-Based and other Community Groups to donate over 200 pounds of food to food insecure families and individuals throughout the growing season.  For more information please contact Garden Manager Anita Stone: 707-298-7932 or anitastone.mail@gmail.com
